Rowan county is centrally located between the mountains and the coast of North Carolina in an area known as the Piedmont. This places us within ITU Zone 8 and Grid Square EM95. The Rowan Amateur Radio Society has proudly served and been a part of this region of North Carolina since 1937, that's over 70yrs!

Amateur Radio is a fun, exciting, and affordable hobby the whole family can enjoy together. Arguably one of the very best hobbies to pursue if you enjoy making new friends.
