Welcome to the website of the Rowan Amateur Radio Society. Our club is located in Salisbury NC, the county seat and largest city within Rowan County. We are centrally located between the mountains and the coast of North Carolina in an area known as the Piedmont. The Rowan Amateur Radio Society was founded in 1937, and we have been an ARRL affiliated club since 1968! Meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at 7:00 PM. Details: Join us each Saturday Evening at 8:30 PM on the N4UH 2m FM Repeater 145.410 MHz, with a -Negative Offset and a PL Tone of 136.5Hz for the "Dixie Radio Pirates" rag chew net.

There is a new net called the “Oath Keepers Net” taking place each Monday Night at 7:00 PM on the Rowan Amateur Radio Society’s N4UH 2m FM Repeater. The repeater operates on 145.410 MHz, with a -Negative Offset and a PL Tone of 136.5Hz. Your Net Control Operator will be Don Shupe – KK4ZPI. 73

SKYWARN™ Recognition Day 2014 gets underway at 0000 UTC on Saturday, December 6 (Friday, December 5 in US time zones). This will mark the 16th annual event. Co-sponsored by ARRL and the National Weather Service (NWS), the 24-hour event recognizes the vital public service contribution that Amateur Radio operators make while working with NWS offices during severe weather events.
