It looks as though HR 607 is no longer a concern to the Amateur Radio community. This after a new bill was introduced into the Senate titled “S 1040-The Broadband for First Responders Act of 2011″ which appears to achieve the desired goals, without auctioning off ham bands. If you missed this month’s meeting, don’t miss out on the activities this weekend!

8:00 AM – Breakfast with the W4VEC VE Group at the Checkered Flag located at South Main and Hwy 150 in Salisbury.

9:30 AM – W4VEC test session at the Salisbury Library. Walk-ins welcome.

2:00 PM – FoxHunt. Meet at the Salisbury Mall in front of the Cafeteria. The hunt starts at 2:00 PM sharp. If you don’t have any equipment, come on out and ride with someone. You don’t know what you’ve been missing.
