Volunteer Examiner Testing Information
Amateur Radio tests will be administered by trained volunteer examiners from the Volunteer Examiner Coordinator-W4VEC this Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 9:30 AM at the Rowan Public Library which is located at 201 West Fisher Street, Salisbury NC (Map).
Anyone interested in obtaining their Amateur Radio license or upgrading an existing license is encouraged to attend. The Testing Fee is still only $12.00. Be sure to bring your current license and a copy, any original csce you have and a copy, your Social Security Number(SSN) or your FCC Licensee Number (CORES or FRN), and a PHOTO ID.
If this will be your first Amateur Radio license you should bring two IDs (one with photo) and your Social Security Number (SSN) No Appointments, Walk-ins only!
At the June meeting of the Rowan Amateur Radio Society on Monday, 6-13-2011, W4VEC will offer an exam test session. Please notify anyone you know who wants to take an Amateur License Exam to be a the Rufty-Holmes Senior Center at 7 PM. We will test for all classes including Technician, General, and Extra. This is a reminder that the General Class Exam changes on July 1 and this will be the last chance to take a test based on the old question pool.
